The Planning and Place Based Approaches cluster has launched a newsletter, showcasing the work of four Improvement Service teams that are committed to supporting local authorities and other partners to create places where people and communities can thrive.

The newsletter, published monthly on LinkedIn, will highlight the work of:

  • The Planning for Place programme provides specific support to local authorities and their partners to collaborate in place-based approaches.
  • The Planning Skills programme ensures planners have the right skills and knowledge
  • The National Planning Improvement Team works with planning authorities to monitor their performance and help them to improve.
  • Digital Planning works with local authorities and their partners to develop and maintain essential spatial/place-based data services.

The first edition has been published and sets out the shared mission of the teams, as well as curating news, events and guidance delivered by the IS for planning and place professionals.
