The SLAED (Scottish Local Authorities’ Economic Development) Indicators Framework 2024-25 Highlight Report has been published. The SLAED Indicators Framework provides a consistent source of data and evidence on what councils across Scotland are delivering as local economic development organisations.
The Highlight Report features just some of the key indicators from the framework, including economic development expenditure, staffing and the amount of external funding secured by local authorities, along with key business and employability support indicators.
Working closely with the SLAED Performance Group, the Improvement Service has supported the publication of annual reports since the framework was established in 2012. Earlier this year an online, interactive dashboard was launched to display the SLAED indicators, with the aim of making the data more easily accessible to a wide range of members, stakeholders and the wider public.
The Highlight Report replaces previous annual reports and will be followed by three thematic reports over the coming months:
- Business
- Employability
- Economy and Wellbeing.
All reports will be available on the SLAED website.
