The Improvement Service has published 'IS Stakeholder Survey 2025: You said, we did', setting out how feedback from our stakeholders is shaping improvements across IS services to enhance our support for local government in Scotland.
In 2025, stakeholder surveys were issued across 25 services to more than 2,300 stakeholders, providing valuable insight into what is working well and where further improvements can be made.
The results highlight consistently high levels of satisfaction:
- 91% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with IS services
- 89% agreed that the Improvement Service has a positive impact on their organisation
- 93% were satisfied with IS staff
The update also demonstrates how feedback from our stakeholders is being translated into action. The report highlights some of our improvement actions, including planned expansion of public interest notices on tellmescotland, improved guidance and response times from the Data Hub, and more tailored support for councils from the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service.
The publication reinforces the Improvement Service’s commitment to listening to stakeholders and continuously improving the support we provide to local government.
The stakeholder survey will be issued again in mid-2026.
