New guidance has been published by the Improvement Service to help users make the most of Spatial Hub data through mapping and analysis software.

The documents are designed to help users add Spatial Hub data to ArcGIS, QGIS and R and will improve the accessibility and usability of local government information.

Add Spatial Hub Data to ArcGIS Pro uses our Air Quality Management Areas dataset as an example of adding data to ArcGIS Pro for visualisation and analysis, while Add Spatial Hub data to QGISusesour Article 4 Directions dataset to do the same in QGIS. Finally, Add Spatial Hub data to Rprovides a guide to using R and RStudio for interactive mapping and analysis using our Town Centres dataset.

The Spatial Hub is an online resource that provides a single point of access to quality-assured Scottish local authority data, in a consistent format. Data themes include planning, administrative boundaries, environmental, transport and community facilities.
