The IS has produced Social Return on Investment (SROI) analyses of five projects that were funded by the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal and managed by Capital City Partnership.
The Edinburgh and South East Scotland City (ESES) Region Deal is a £1.6 billion five-year programme whose purpose is to drive economic growth and create opportunities across the region. The deal has five themes, one of which is the delivery of an integrated Regional Employability and Skills Programme and this was the focus of the analyses.
The total investment in all five projects was £530,000. Whilst the investment to benefit ratio varied in each, in overall terms for every £1 invested around £9 of social and economic benefits were generated.
The analyses identified and valued the outcomes experienced by the groups of stakeholders that benefited and the nature of the changes they experienced.
