Are you involved with money guidance or advice? It might make up a small part of what you do. The Money Guiders network holds networking events where you can learn from other organisations and network with people across the voluntary, third and public sectors.

In March, the network heard about the impact of rising energy bills in an event with speakers from Home Energy Scotland, Age Scotland and Greener Kirkcaldy.  Plus, in a joint event with the Wales network, the Competition and Markets Authority told the network about its online rip-off tip-off campaign on how to spot and avoid misleading online sales practices. At the end of the month there’ll be another workshop in the series on workplace wellbeing, led by Money Advice Scotland, on why and how to open conversations about your own or others’ wellbeing.

Moving into April, the first event will be about recent Improvement Service research findings on Scottish council funded money and welfare rights advice services, what they deliver and achieve. Coming soon after that there’ll be an event on collaborative council tax collection, with speakers from Falkirk Council and Citizens Advice Scotland.

If you’d like to watch recordings of speakers at the network’s previous events or get involved in its growing online community, join the Money Guiders network Knowledge Hub group.

The network is being developed by the Improvement Service, in partnership with the Money and Pensions Service, as part of the UK Money Guiders programme.
