Employability support is available across all council areas in Scotland for people who are looking for help to get into work. If you’re a parent or a kinship carer, we can also help you find better paid work. In some areas, there are also contacts who can offer specific support for Ukrainian people who have settled in Scotland.
The services offer one-to one tailored support from a key worker. This isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ programme – it’s designed to give you the help you need, from support to access training, to CV tips and help applying for jobs. We can even help you access advice and support from other areas that may be beneficial to you – such as in-work benefit calculations and help to find suitable childcare.
Taking part is entirely voluntary, so if you decide it’s not for you, you can leave without any negative consequences. For example, you won’t lose any benefits you’re currently receiving.
