Project Governance

An oversight group has been established to advise on the overall strategic direction and delivery of phase 2 of the Local Government Data Platform.

The membership of the group includes senior leaders from key stakeholder organisations to provide appropriate influence within their own organisation and also cross sector. Membership organisations include IS, SOLACE, COSLA, LGDO, Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland. A list of members is below.

This group will be jointly chaired by SOLACE and COSLA, who will report progress to the SOLACE branch and COSLA leaders.

The key responsibilities of the oversight group are to:

  • Advise on the strategic direction and priorities for phase 2 of the Local Government Data Platform project.
  • Agree the project work-plan, deliverables, and timeframes, and monitor progress.
  • Agree on a communications and engagement plan and support its implementation.
  • Receive bi-monthly updates on progress from the programme team.
  • Agree and present reports to key stakeholders such as SOLACE Branch and COSLA Leaders, including recommendations regarding the future focus and direction.
