Coaching via the framework starts from £250 (excl. VAT and travel expenses) for up to a 2-hour session (excl. VAT and travel expenses).
Coaching relationships vary and therefore the total cost will depend on the agreed number of sessions, length and format. For the coaching to be effective at improving performance, we recommend agreeing a block of 4-6 sessions around two hours long, over a period of 6-12 months.
The length, format of session (face-to-face, Skype, telephone), and travel time plus expenses for coaches will determine the cost of each session and this will be agreed in a coaching contract. The Improvement Service will oversee all coaching contracts and act as a broker for all payments by liaising with the coach and nominated council officer.
Upon completion of a coaching session, the Improvement Service will invoice the council via the nominated officer, for the agreed payment as per the coaching contract.
Coaching rates start at £250 (excl. VAT) per 2-hour session.
A breakdown of the rates are as follows:
- Up to 2-hour session with no travel for coach (i.e. Teams, Skype, telephone, or elected member travels to coach) - £250
- Up to 2-hour session and up to two hours travel for coach - £375
- Up to 2-hour session and up to four hours travel for coach - £500
