West Dunbartonshire Council - keeping kids safe by transforming communications
West Dunbartonshire Council launched parentsportal.scot to its full school estate of 32 primary schools, five secondary schools and three specialist schools in June 2024. Taking a bold ‘big bang’ approach transformed school operations and parental engagement, delivering wide-ranging benefits including streamlined communications, efficient administration and greater parental involvement.

West Dunbartonshire Council - record high Annual Data Check returns thanks to parentsportal.scot
Every year, the school data check is required for schools to update their records about pupils and their families. It’s important for this information to be kept up to date because it is used for managing pupil records, contacting families in an emergency and ensuring accurate information for SQA exams. West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) wanted to revolutionise this process ahead of the busy August term last year and used the launch of parentsportal.scot to do so.
parentsportal.scot - operated by Improvement Service, Powered by SEEMiS Group LLP
In the face of increasing demand from the public for more accessible, 24-hour services which meet their needs and budgets, public service providers are looking to develop innovative solutions for citizen engagement. The Improvement Service (IS) and SEEMiS established a partnership with a joint vision of enabling and creating a digital relationship between parents, pupils and schools. A vision from which parentsportal.scot was born.
