Evaluate Options
This stage is concerned with examining the potential improvements identified so far, developing some business options and evaluating them for acceptability and feasibility. The analysis of gaps between existing and desired systems will have produced some ideas for improvements and the work now is to develop these ideas into business options. These options may include options for changes in a number of areas e.g. business processes/IT systems. At this point, the changes are likely to be defined in outline only but in sufficient detail so that the business case may be developed.
