What do we mean by iteration?
Service Design, like many other approaches to improvement and innovation, guides you to take an iterative approach to both building and testing your ideas. This simply means that this process is not expected to be linear and follow simple sequential steps (discover;define;develop;deliver). Rather, you will likely find that certain insights push you back a step and require you to use a different tool or approach to gather more information or to get a different perspective entirely.

It's important that if you are leading the service design approach you take a flexible and adaptable approach to the work to ensure you are meeting the needs of the participants and designing something that will be fit for the future. As the lead, you should be constantly evaluating and sense checking the approach to ensure it will provide best value.
