Impact Stories

The Shaping Places for Wellbeing Programme aimed to improve Scotland’s wellbeing and reduce inequalities through changing our collective approaches to the places where we live, work and play. So, with this in mind, what did we achieve within each of our Project Towns? What impact did we have?

Our Impact Stories below detail the progress in our seven Project Towns from 2022 – June 2024.

From adding place-based opportunities into the ongoing project development of the Wellbeing Hub and Lochies School Development in Alloa, to supporting Community Engagement Team Officers to test their own Assessment sessions with their Community Plan in Rutherglen. We detail the work we undertook to implement our approach to place-based working, including how we embedded the Place and Wellbeing Outcomes to strengthen links between stakeholders, improve places and target work to reduce inequalities.
